Last weekend, the forecast didn't look too good, so we planned to stay indoors and cook! Our friend Steph came over and we prepped and cooked shrimp and grits. Well, she cooked. I ran around rearranging the furniture to try to get the best lighting for our little delectable shrimp. I have to say, shrimp and grits were so perfect for such a cold and gloomy day. Here is the Lemon-Garlic Shrimp and Grits recipe we used from the Food Network. So yummy!
I've been a little bit behind on posts, but just wanted to do a quick update on what I've been up to for the past year. My sister got married last August! I had the opportunity to work with her on designing her wedding invitations. Although we live in a digital world, there will always be a place in my heart for print design.
Happy first day of Spring! I love how the stems of baby bok choy have a floral like quality to them. They remind of the spring patterns that currently cover shirts and pants this season. I'm looking forward to the warmer weather although it hasn't felt like spring just yet.
Happy Pi Day! To celebrate, I made some cute mini key lime pies, my favorite. I got the recipe from allrecipes.com. I didn't realize how easy it was to make. I've been craving some Publix key lime pie, but since they don't have a Publix here in Delaware, this recipe is pretty close to it!
