On labor day weekend, Young planned a road trip for us to visit Niagara Falls and Toronto. I've been to Niagara Falls, but never at night when they light up the falls. There were so many people, I felt like I was in a mosh pit of tourists. Glad we got there earlier to stand our ground, although many tried to nudge us aside to take a shot.
Like many of our trips, our travels revolve around food. We started the day at Pearl Harbourfront dim sum, which was amazing. Two hours later for lunch, we went up to the CN tower and ate at the 360 restaurant, which floors rotate while you eat (much like the Westin Hotel in Atlanta). I was pleasantly surprised at the food, because you usually pay more for the view and experience. The most memorable things we ate were the stacked heirloom tomato salad with buffalo mozzarella and the summer berry meringue with toasted hazelnuts. For 2nd dessert, we stumbled upon a cute gelato place near chinatown called Kekou Gelato. Capogiro's in Philadelphia is still my favorite gelato place, but Kekou's black sesame flavor gelato is a close second. After eating way too much, we walked around the city for the rest of day and ended at Polson Pier for sunset. A short but sweet trip :)
